A little about us, we're a small design studio based in Uptown, New Orleans bringing you antiques and vintage home decor mixed with a little bit of newness.

I started House of Modern Vintage about 10-12 years ago, I actually don't even remember how long ago it was, with no real direction.  This space has been everything from a blog (Lord knows about what), a small vintage rental company for events and now finally a retail & design space.

House of Modern Vintage had been put on the backburner for awhile while I had been starting my floral design business Leaf + Petal back in 2016.  In 2020 my mom, an incredible interior designer, passed away and it renewed my interest in all things design.  I wanted to create something to honor her and transitioning House of Modern Vintage into a speciality design shop seemed like the perfect way to do it.  There's no greater cheerleader than your mom and she would have loved this.

We source antiques and vintage home decor from around New Orleans and try to shop local vendors.  We import pieces from overseas, which I have learned is no easy task, and ship everything direct from our studio here in New Orleans.
