Socks Please…

I love looking at pics from Fashion Week in Paris.  It always seems so over the top and theatrical.

But aside from the amazing Valentino show, I found something else that made me very happy.

Gaultier- Paris

I’m not ashamed to admit it anymore, I love wearing socks with heels.  It’s such a vintage-y, girly look.

Now I just need to find a pink pair to wear with my cheetah Manolos.

Finally, vindication.

My NYFW Obsession…Cara Delevingne

{Chanel Show, Paris Couture Week}

The darling of Fashion Week (Paris & NY) and called the successor to Kate Moss’ crown.

After seeing her in ad campaigns for Burberry, Chanel, and Zara for Spring 2013, this week finds her strutting the catwalks of NYFW, including Derek Lam, Jason Wu, Diane Von Furstenberg and Tommy Hilfiger.

BCBG Fall 2013…

BCBG Boots

The Fall Collection paid homage to the beautiful iconic mosques of Istanbul, so the show was deep in rich fabrics and beautiful prints.  A very gypsy-bohemian feel.

It was actually the cut-out leather stiletto thigh-highs that caught my attention.

Ulyana Sergeenko…Spring ’13 Couture Week

She’s interesting enough as is, but with her own eponymous couture line, she’s absolutely fascinating.

Ulyana Sergeenko

Fashion photog turned designer, married to a Russian billionaire…and her Spring/Summer 2013 collection is debuted in Paris this week.

She has a very pin-up 50’s aesthetic, like a Russian Grace Kelly.

I was obsessed with her Fall/Winter ’11 collection.; the long quilted skirts and tight cashmere sweaters.  A very babushka look with the scarf tied around the hair, long quilted floor length skirts and sheer cashmere sweaters.

Oh, Paris Couture Week.  Now that’s the trip of a lifetime…

Erin Fetherston~ Spring 2013

Erin Fetherston has continued to be one of my favorite designers over the years.  In part due to my intense love of girlie fashions but also in part due to her ability to cut the girlieness with a hint of tough chic.  Or so she did for Spring ’13.

Leather and chiffon (a fabulous contrast in my book), mixed with body conscious minis and show stopping floor maxis.  Bright pops of color combined with subtle shades of blush.  I’m was enthralled.

Blush hued feather dress?  Yes, please…

Fashion Week~ Spring 2013

Ironically as the weather in Texas finally starts to cool, it’s time to think about trends for Spring ’13.  Mid way through Fashion Week, I’m impatiently waiting some of my favorite designers coming later in the week.  Highlights to come.

And I was just getting excited about finally being able to wear boots…
