Wedding Weekend…

After a long weekend of too many cocktails, too much food and the most ornately beautiful wedding I have ever been to, we are finally home.

It was a gorgeous Indian wedding of friends from Louisiana, complete with white horse and dancing down the street.  The grooms father handed out parasols as a way to incorporate ‘second line’ and a New Orleans flavor into the ceremony.

I may be a jewelry designers but that horse had me beat…

Love of Lace…

I have a love of lace that really knows no bounds.

I am heading to California this weekend for a wedding and think I have finally found the perfect opportunity to wear them.  Opera length cream lace with a light lavender stitching… now to figure what else to wear with them.

That might be the hard part.

I actually do have a wedding in Aspen this July and think this might be perfect.  And at only $49 it almost offsets the cost of me having to fly to Aspen.

Almost…but actually not even close.

Weddings Weekends…

I have been dying to wear this lace maxi for over a year now and finally had the perfect opportunity this weekend at one of my favorite friend’s wedding.

It’s a chevron woven lace with lace embroidered flowers appliquéd over.  Each flower is trimmed in grosgrain ribbon and accented with floral bead work inside.

It’s an intense dress…

Celebrate…Weddings

{pre-party routine}

The Boyfriend and I went to a wedding of a friend last night and the night was absolutely perfect.  The bride was gorgeous and the reception was ridiculously fun.

I was channeling a 50’s vibe so I wore my favorite jacquard dress, winged my eyeliner and wore my biggest lashes (Winks by Georgie) to get the full effect.

Now I need another weekend to recover from this one…
